The Nokia N810 device is a full hardware platform for Wi-BIKE. It has a touch screen that integrates a light sensor to detect the level of light and regulate its own retro-illumination level accordingly. This way on a light sunny day the light can be used by the device for its own screen illumination, which guarantees high visibility in all situations.

Other hardware features include: built-in GPS, Bluetooth connectivity to connect wireless headpiece, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.111b/g connectivity, USB 2.0 interface to connect it to a computer, a memory card support.
